Safety
Commitment to safety from employers sets the foundation for a safe workplace. As an employer Knowit is serious about safety and has invested a considerable amount of time and money in safety. They have recently upgraded their safety management plan to be 4801 compliant.
Upon commencing employment with Knowit each employee goes through induction training which comprises of the following:
- Management of OH&S in the workplace.
- Reporting a hazard or other safety issues.
- The health and safety procedures required to complete their tasks.
- Completion of the OH&S Construction Induction Course.
We are committed to providing all people who work on or visit our workplaces with an environment that is safe and free from risk so far as is reasonably practicable. OHS is recognised by our senior management as the most significant component of all of our activities and is supported by our certification to AS/NZS 4801:2004 and accreditation under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme. We value communication, consultation, continual improvement and whole company involvement and are committed to being at the forefront of safety within the construction industry.
